As defined by the Faculty Guide, Article 12.6, the Faculty Senate represents the faculty of the South Orange campus  in matters of academic policies and procedures as well as matters of faculty welfare.  It has the right and duty to represent that faculty on all matters which affect the South Orange faculty as a whole and to help inform faculty opinion on matters of campus-wide importance.
